WHRC

The World Humanoid Robotics Challenge (WHRC) is the first international competition advancing humanoid robotics. It brings together leading companies, research institutes, and innovators from around the globe to showcase AI-powered breakthroughs and build a collaborative ecosystem shaping the future of robotics.

A. Mobility & Speed

• Short Sprint (20m / 60m): timed runs with increasing complexity.
• Obstacle Course: steps, ramps, barriers, soft obstacles.
• Fall & Recovery: ability to stand up after being pushed or falling.
• Endurance Walk: long-duration walking, measuring efficiency and stability.

B. Game Play & Competition

• Mini-Football (3v3): teamwork, stability, decision-making.

• Set-Piece Challenge: penalty/free kicks with accuracy scoring.

• Dribble & Target Shooting: ball control and precision.

C. Manipulation & Task Scenarios

• Object Transport: carrying and placing boxes with obstacle
avoidance.

• Assembly Task: screws, plugs, or simple industrial actions.

• Pharma Dispensing: identify and deliver correct medication.

• Household Tasks: open door, fetch, pour, organize.

• Vision-Only Navigation: navigate a maze without external aids.

D. Collaboration, HRI & Intelligence

• Human-Robot Cooperative Transport: carrying long objects with
humans.

• Instruction Understanding & Multi-Step Execution: follow
natural language commands.

• Multi-Robot Relay / Formation: collaborative relay and
coordination.

• Safety Challenge: safe reactions to humans, hazards, and
restricted zones.
